The Holding Screen

From your Portfolio screen, you can click through to your individual holdings by clicking their ticker symbol in the holdings list.

Doing so will bring you through to this screen:

By default you will arrive on the 'Overview' tab.

The Overview tab shows you a selection of detailed information about individual stock, ETF, unlisted investment or cryptocurrency you’ve selected.

  1. Overview Tab: Along the top of the Holding screen, you’ll see several tabs.

  2. Date Range Selector: This is where you can change the date range to see different periods performance. Changing this will re-calculate performance, starting at the from date of the range, going to the to date of the range.

  3. Holding Performance Snapshot: These performance metrics are the same as those on the Portfolio page, except for the selected individual holding instead. From left to right: Holding Value, Capital Gain, Dividend Return, Currency Gain, Total Return.

  4. Holding Performance Chart: The chart displays the performance of the holding in dollar terms, or shows you the dividend return or share price depending which view you choose using the metrics above the chart.

  5. Key Stats: This table shows you various key metrics about your holding, like your tax cost base and average buy price.

  6. Price Chart: This chart shows the price history of the holding.

The 'Trades' tab.

On this tab you can see a list of all the trades, you. have added for this particular holding.

  1. Indicating you are on the 'Trades' tab.

  2. This is the trades list, where all trades for this holding will appear.

From the trades list you can also manually select tax parcels. Read manually selecting tax parcels.

The 'Income' tab.

On this tab you can see a lsit of all the income that has been added to this holding.

  1. Indicates we are on the 'Income' tab.

  2. The income list, displaying all dividends for this stock. Crypto income is displayed here when viewing a cryptocurrency.

The 'Notes' tab.

  1. This indicates we are on the 'Notes' tab.

  2. This area is where you can add and view notes. See how to add notes to a holding.

The 'Settings' tab.

  1. Indicates we are on the 'Settings' tab.

  2. Trust Income: This allows you to set whether the income was paid out by a trust or not. Usually ETFs are trust income and will automatically be set to 'Yes'.

  3. Exclude from Tax: Settings this to 'Yes' means this holding will now be present in your tax reports.

  5. Classification: Here is where you can change the classification of your holding. This effects which Sector and industry the holding will be grouped by.
